Ngraffi Fine Arts and Mottanni Inc Announce the Launch of "Bamenda" — A New Radio Drama Series from the Heart of the Highlands
BAMENDA,– 21st July 2026 – Ngraffi Fine Arts-NFA Inc. and Mottanni Inc, in partnership with Quodatics, Y'G Inc., HillTop Music Academy, Ringnwitz, Lanjo Coaching, and CAVP Bamenda, have announced the release of "Bamenda," a new radio drama series that captures the daily lives, struggles, and triumphs of the Bamenda Highlands community through the story of a central family.

Through rich soundscapes — from rain on corrugated iron roofs to the rhythmic pounding of fufu — and authentic dialogue in Pidgin, English, and local dialects, the drama aims to humanize a community and showcase its unwavering spirit .

"Beyond entertainment, 'Bamenda' serves a vital purpose: to capture and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the North West region," said Mottanni (Tanni Desmond Awa) , acclaimed spoken word artist and founder of Ngraffi Fine Arts-NFA Inc. . "Radio is the theatre of the mind — an intimate medium that travels with listeners whether they are in chop bars, on farms, or in bustling markets."

Ngraffi Fine Arts-NFA Inc. is a creative production house based in Bamenda, known for developing original audio content and identifiers that resonate with local communities . Mottanni Inc, founded by the award-winning spoken word artist and poet, has been a driving force in Cameroonian arts since 2015, with Mottanni earning international recognition including a Silver Medal at the 2024 Golden Door Awards in Singapore .

This project reflects a collaborative approach to storytelling, rooted in the belief that "the most powerful branding is a collaboration"

"Bamenda" is designed not only for the people of the highlands, who will hear their own lives reflected back at them, but also for the diaspora longing for the sounds of home, and for a global audience eager to understand the region beyond the headlines.
